ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Students who want to enroll in both programs must apply to each program separately via each program's website. Applicants do not need to write two essays; students can incorporate the essay by reference in the second application. Students will only need to submit one copy of the necessary application materials outlined in the "Selection Process" page on the Cairo and Jordan Summer Program websites.
SELECTION PROCESS & REGISTRATION
Upon acceptance, students will be provided with an acceptance package for each program explaining the procedures in detail. Seats are secured by a non-refundable $250 deposit applied toward tuition, and are awarded in the order in which deposits are received, so students should register early. Students must send a separate deposit for each program, so any student enrolling in both programs should send two checks in the amount of $250 each.
It is anticipated that the deposit deadline for the Cairo Program will be April 1 and May 1 for the Jordan Summer Program. If additional places are available after that date, students may be admitted subject to the discretion of the Program Director.
Enrollment is limited to 40-45 students for the Cairo Summer Program and 40 students for the Jordan Summer Program.
Seton Hall University School of Law is an equal opportunity/affirmative action institution. The School of Law provides full opportunities for the study of law to qualified candidates and does not discriminate on the basis of race, disability, gender, sexual orientation or religion.
Students may enroll in both the Cairo Summer Program and the Jordan Summer Program in one summer. Students may take 6 credits between the two programs without prior approval. Students who want to take more than 6 credits must get prior approval from the Dean of Students at Seton Hall Law School. Non-Seton Hall Students must also get prior approval from the Dean at their law school in order to take more than 6 credits. Students enrolling in both programs will still be required to take a minimum of 4 credits (2 classes) in the Jordan Summer Program. Students enrolling in both programs will be subject to the policies and guidelines applicable for each program.
If a student wants to participate in both programs, the student will be precluded from participating in the optional Nile Cruise at the end of the Cairo Summer Program since the dates overlap with the Jordan Summer Program.
